Hey guys! This week is unfortunately our last week posting our recipes. We are working hard to accomplish our goals for this last week, which is posting 3 new recipes. We will then be working and preparing for our final presentation that is coming up in a month. We are trying to find times available for us to get together to plan for our final presentation, so hopefully that will work out. We are trying to meet at least twice before the presentation to discuss and practice so we can present well. We will be giving advice to each other and doing our best to make this process smooth so it’s less stressful the night of and we aren’t as nervous.. We are very nervous, but excited! We want to thank you for supporting our blog and trying out some of our recipes. We really appreciate it! After this week we will be posting different kind of updates, so be sure to check those out!

Hello! This week we got a plan together to get more recipes up. We hope to be going to a local church to serve a Wednesday night dinner in the next 3 weeks. We haven’t had a chance to meet up because we all have different schedules and it’s really hard to find an open time and a convenient place to meet at. We would also like to get more people to use our hashtags so more people can see our blog. We want to form a bit more of a community our supporters can relate to other people. We would also really appreciate any feedback on how to make our content better or any requests for meal substitutes. We have a new recipe posting schedule so that should help a lot with getting more recipes up in a short amount of time. We have a presentation about this project coming up on April 19th, and we would love for you to come a support us. More details coming soon. Hopefully, before then, we make a to of progress. Thank you!
Hello guys! This week we talked about how to spread our blog and reach out to more people. We started thinking about different ways to do this and decided on hashtags. We would appreciate it if you tried out on of our recipe's and enjoyed it that you take a photo and share it to your social media tagging it with #BrewtifulBrunch so that we can form a community with our blog and hopefully impact more people. We will also be tagging other hashtags in our post so that other people can see it on other pages. As far as our resolutions go, we have not uploaded a new recipe, but are planning to do so soon along with others. We also have not had a meeting together outside of class, due to our busy schedules filled with other previous commitments. Hopefully once we find an opportunity to get together, we will. We're hoping to make a lot of progress this month, and our looking forward to improving our blog as well as building a community with it. Happy New Year! 2018 has come, and I have decided to make some resolutions for our blog and the progress I hope we make this year.
One change I hope we make is uploading recipes more consistently. Our group has had some miscommunications in the past resulting in some inconsistent posting. Another resolution I hope to make is getting together more frequently to make sure we are all on the same page, and to make sure we have a good schedule. To do this I think we should all pick a date and a time and make sure we all set aside time for it. I also hope we branch out more as far as our recipes go. As of right now, we have many gluten-free recipes, and I think we should have a wider variety to reach all of our audience. In order to do this, I think we should do more research about different dietary restrictions and work as a group to avoid doing the same ones repetitively. Those are a few of the resolutions I hope my group and I can accomplish this year with our Blog. I hope you all had happy holidays, and are looking forward to this new year. This week we haven’t made much progress. Hannah B uploaded a new recipe for vegan no churn chocolate ice-cream, and we now have 3 recipes up with another coming soon. We have talked about helping at the Hope center or a church meal sometime before the holidays, but that may not work out because of busy schedules and traveling. We also won’t be able to do it on Christmas Day, due to previous obligations. I hope we can get together soon to talk more in depth about future plans for our blog recipes, as well as volunteering. I want to do this so we have a plan that we can stick to, and to make it less confusing so everyone is on the same page. We also need to work on how to get our blog out there and get more people to view it.
As far as working with my group, it's been great! We haven't had many problems or disagreements. Although, it has been difficult making sure we're all on the same page, and making sure everyone knows the plans and dates. We are also all very busy so it's difficult to find enough time to get together outside of school. Hopefully, we can find a time that works for everyone soon, and we can do more with this project!
Hey guys! This week as far as progress goes, we uploaded for the first time with a recipe. We also have the rest of the recipes for this month planned, as well as uploading dates for them. We posted our first Instagram post for the page, announcing our first recipe upload. We have also made a Facebook page, which will hopefully bring more people to this blog. As far as the volunteering at the Hope Center for Thanksgiving, I'm not sure if we'll all get to do it, due to other holiday plans. It's also been a little hard to meet up outside of class because we all have busy schedules, which makes it hard to find an opening that works for everyone.
Since our last update, we haven’t contacted any Hope Centers or Churches, however, we plan on doing this soon. It will be difficult to find a time in all of our schedules, due to extra curricular activities, and we may not get to do the cooking class. We are going to try and volunteer at the Hope Center on thanksgiving to sort the pantry, prepare meals, and deliver meals. I hope we find time to do the cooking class. We will start uploading recipes, focusing on a dietary restriction, in the first week of November. We are going to try updating once a week. We are going to try to upload pictures with the recipe, and sometimes we will upload videos. I hope we end up with a variety of recipes focusing on a different dietary restriction each time.
Hello, I’m Meredith! I enjoy, hanging out with my friends, participating in athletics including soccer and volleyball, and baking. On this blog, I will be working with my partners, Hannah B, Madelyn, and Hannah S to complete a project known as a 20-time Project. For the 20-Time project, you have to complete a project over the course of the school year doing something that benefits the community. For this, every other month we are going to be visiting our local Hope Center preparing cost efficient, healthy meals with them and updating our blog every week with a new recipe directed towards a dietary restriction.
