Hey guys! We’re still currently in the process of contacting organizations like the Hope Center and other places like our churches to finally be a part of this in a different way; not just typing up recipes and providing them for you, but putting in the physical labor to make and serve these meals, or just help putting up ingredients that can be used to make these meals. I’m still hoping to do a low-sodium recipe, just haven’t decided on the right one yet. Please continue to try and spread the word about our blog by tagging us, @brewtifulbrunch, or using the hashtag, #brewtifulbrunch, in your posts. I appreciate the help and I look forward to finally be able to do bigger things for this project.

For this new year, I’m hoping to get a lot more things accomplished. Hopefully we can finally find some time to get together and make plans to contact places like The Hope Center and our local churches that we’re planning on getting in touch with. Last semester, we didn’t end up getting in touch with those places because of our sports schedules and busy weekends. Meredith, Hannah B, and I still are in soccer season, our high school season in staring up and our club season just ended. Hannah S is still in the process of her basketball season, as her team may be attending state. We are going to be more focused this semester to make sure that what we want to do, gets done.
Hey guys! Since our last posts, we haven’t gotten much more done. We’ve been trying to get things together maybe on the weekends since our weekday schedules are so busy, but we still can’t seem to find a day in our weekends where the four of us are free to get together and discuss things. Time still is our biggest enemy. It’s hard to really let you all know how busy we really are, but with one of our members having practices every day, and the other three of us having soccer, we really can’t find any free time on the weekdays. So far, we’ve posted recipes on gluten free/vegetarian pancakes, gluten free baked pecan pie oatmeal, and vegan no church chocolate ice-cream. Next week we plan on posting a recipe on buttermilk rolls for people with some sugar restricting diets. Hopefully this weekend or sometime next week, we can find the time to get together and discuss things we want to do. We plan on doing something before the holidays so people can get it when the holiday comes up.
Hey guys! So far, we still haven’t really found time to get together and discuss our plans. Hopefully sometime next week we’ll be able to find time to get our plans together and contact the people we need to contact. We’ve posted a recipe on gluten free, vegetarian pancakes, and gluten free baked pecan pie oatmeal, and we’re planning on posting a recipe on gluten free no-churn chocolate ice cream. After that, I plan on posting a recipe on buttermilk rolls for people with sugar restrictions. We’re hoping that all of this will end up working out, including our schedules.
Time is becoming a pretty large issue for our group. One of our group members is a part of a basketball team, as the rest of us are a part of a soccer team. With both of our schedules, we’re really struggling to work out some days where we’re all free and can do something for our project together. We’ve been texting each other to communicate outside of school. I’m struggling to find time to even do some of my own things around the house and outside of school let alone trying to put a bunch of stuff together for the project. I’m still very hopeful that everything is going to turn out good and that we’re going to be able to accomplish a lot of the things we’re hoping to get done. Some things might not happen at the time we planned on it happening, but I’m hoping that it’s still going to be able to get done.
Since our last post, we have not gotten in contact with the Hope Center about our cooking class for the people there, but we plan on doing it sometime soon. With our sports schedules and everything else, we haven’t found the time to set aside and have a long conversation with someone about it. We hope to be able to still go to the Hope Center around Thanksgiving, or on Thanksgiving to help sort their pantry, make some meals, and help everyone deliver the meals. Our first recipe post will be the first week of November and one of us will be posting each week. We hope to provide recipes that people will enjoy. Hopefully by the end of all of this, we will have helped out at the Hope Center, and helped others on the online community make foods that people will actually care for making or possibly some things that maybe they’ve never tried.
Hi, I’m Madelyn and I enjoy playing soccer and hanging out with my friends. Myself along with my friends Hannah B, Hannah S, and Meredith, are doing a project called the 20-time project. In this project we’re hoping to do a lot of successful things throughout the community and this blog. We are planning on providing recipes on easy meals that you can make with dietary restrictions and are very cost efficient. We also are hoping that we can get physically involved with the community and help others by providing recipes that are healthy, but still good.
